Made Lugra is the Executive Chef at Ayung Resort Ubud, one of Bali’s most seasoned and innovative chefs, utilizing his culinary skills to craft Indonesian dishes with an elegant, modern, yet traditional touch. During the pandemic, when Bali’s resorts closed down, Chef Lugra opened Kemulan Resto next to his house in Penestanan. Kemulan is Chef Lugra’s tribute to preserving local Balinese culture and communities. Motivated to support the local economy, he developed original recipes based on readily available items at the local market. For packaging, he collaborated with local Balinese women to create packaging inspired by traditional Balinese offerings, entirely handcrafted from coconut and banana leaves. The packaging easily biodegrades and can be safely included in compost.
